Meggs says Zembla was 100% original, I need to see more example of Vince Frost’s work
So as usual, it is hard to forget about the last 20 years of modern design and look at something from the past as being innovative and new when it has been imitated and copied for years and become standard! But I do like his typographic work very much, he isn’t as simple as Swiss Style but isn’t as complex as some of the earlier digital work.
Communication Arts has an article about Vince Frost:

Igarishi’s isometric alphabets and his poster calendar work, so curious to see more examples of these. Meggs mentions 622 different number designs, I’d love to see these.
Nice overview of him:

Yay, he has a website with a lot of his work! It is in both Japanese and English and can load a little slowly, but it is a nice gallery of his designs.

The H. N. Werkman Prize might be a nice way to see winning typography over the years, I wonder if they have a nice gallery to browse and compare?
Okay, there’s no online presence (that I can find), even in Dutch. Apparently the name has been changed to Amsterdam Award for Art, but even looking for that, I can’t find much. I’ll have to go to the library and do some research! But the good news is that I found that competitions abound in the world of design, and some of them have good galleries:

More cool websites and articles I found – running out of time, so no commentary
